This is Missive #297 here at ol' Master Blackwolf's RenSpace blog --- and I gotta tell ya, much has happened to New York City's Unofficial Wizard. Among other things, I took a slight excursion into the Neitherealm, battled a few domestic issues --- and railed against the fall of the Tonight Show, which NBC has practically reduced to mere gruel for the glory of the blarsted dollar.
Anywho, I have not completely scribbled anything in here, and I had to practically grumble at the Planet in general with certain things did not go my way. Battling the pettiness of modern-day Mortals is making me long in the tooth; and in all honesty, I have yet to triumph over the madness of adversity!
Meanwhile, I have to at least find out what my Official Rock Band, Lordi, is up to. As I recall, the Monstericans had said they were gonna do Nashville, there to lay down the tracks for their next album. I need to learn whether or not they made it.
Greetings, RenSpacers! Much has happened to your humble Dragonmaster since I last scribbled hither; but apparently someone is not policing our presences here. Again, I have received --- and have promptly deleted --- an e-mail from a renegade female who claims to be from Senegal and seeks passion. I know not about ye, my friends, but it becomes apparent to me that the owners of the RenSpace.com domain name are very much asleep at the wheel. Fellow RenSpacers: if you should receive any junk e-mails from this person, please notify me at once!
Welcome to 2010, Mortal-reckoning! Pitfalls and portals unexpected await us in the 12 months to come; and, indeed, there is much to explore. Before we do, however, methinks a few introductions are in order.
Know, then, my children, that I am Blackwolf the Dragonmaster, New York City's Unofficial Wizard! I may be a bit rusty since my last few recent adventures, but this much is for certain: I remain ever faithful to fulfilling my mission: restoring imagination, creativiity and chivalry to a Planet sadly lacking in all of the above. And since there are many here at RenSpace.com who share this particular quest, I have to say that I am very proud indeed of every one of you who have settled here.
To our Pirate-loving RenSpacers, be aware that I am presently waxing poetic concerning Rob Gardner's Blackbeard: The Musical. Please visit the show's official site; the Big Fella's showstopping solo, "To Be Remembered," had me bursting into tears before I could so mauch as blink! And Rob wants to put his Piratical musical adventure on Broadway, so your kindness in that respect is demanded!

Ok, Mortals, it's raining in my town, I'm the grumpiest Mage in Manhattan when it comes to rainy days --- and the only three reasons I'm happy at this particular moment are the Troll Royal Court: Ik, King of the Trolls, his equally tusky partner in Trolldom, Llort --- and the newest (and dare I say it, sexiest!) Troll in the bushes: Diarrhea the Trollop!
I've already invited all three Trolls to visit me at the New York Renaissance Faire. Why? Because the rest of you have had personal encounters with each (and, in some cases, all) of them, and I haven't. Yes, I am a tad jealous.
Ikster, you knoow where to find me if ye should wish to respond to this invite. I gotta go. It's not easy being a grumpy Mage in a rainy town....

I wish to thank those of you who have responded to my warning regarding the so-called "princess" from Senegal. You who are seeing this here on RenSpace.com will, doubtless, be familiar with the so-called Nigerian bank e-mail scam. I've deleted so many of these during the time I've been in cyberspace that I no longer find it funny. Here, then, art thou confronted with a deliberate reason for yours truly to exhibit Mage rage!
E-mail scams are not nice. I don't especially enjoy them, and I find them anathema to the original vision of the Internet as a force for good (at least, that's how I first dreamed that the 'net would be; alas, as we now know, that was a case of your humble Dragonmaster being a tad naive).
In a way, I find it pleasing to be a Knight in Shining Armour (even if I am still a 4800-plus-year-old crotchety old beetlehead!), because I have a vested interest in keeping my brethren and sisters in the Realm of Faire safe, unmolested, and, dare I say it, trouble-free. One must suffer, I fear, if one must remain a charter member of Ye Goode Guys --- but this is often a burden and price I have spent aeons paying! Which is to say, big ouchie!
Now, if you'll kindly excuse me, I have to seek out some very important Christmas-related information.
