And so, Manhattan braces for another stormy day. Ah yes, the splendor of the rain. This is where a Mage does his best thinking; here, surrounded by the mysteries of the Ancients, the great Wizards of the past have pondered their most powerful spells on rainy days. Even Merlin, Gandalf and Dumbledore did their best thinking in the thick of a rainstorm. While I must admit that their plans were not necessarily sensible, most of them, as some of you now know, largely succeeded. even if they did not, they left their mark on all nonetheless.

Folks, this is, I'm afraid, gonna be a rather short missive. As there's not much for me to say today, I would, despite meself, say a few kind words about Her Majesty, Queen Catherine. Having been recently comforted to by a response from her, it would be bad form were I not to respond kindly in return. I know not who this Lynne Meissel person is, but I would have been more than delighted to take her on as my apprentice --- to whom I could willingly pass my most important magical secrets.....
